What We Do

Interior Design

We believe great interiors shouldn’t just look good; they should incorporate innovative insights about how people interact in the built environment. At i.d.o. Incorporated, interior design is about so much more than just quality space. It‘s about vision and creating a lasting impact for our clients by recognizing the importance of the environment in the overall success of an organization’s culture, relationships, attitude and bottom line. We strive to blend intensive research, planning and programming to create environments that promote strategic business objectives, enhance cultures and support individual productivity.

We acknowledge that we can positively influence the daily lives of the corporate specialist, scientist, physician, medical technician, patient, student and executive by creating functional, flexible, future-focused spaces.

It’s a tall order, but we’re used to that.

Space Planning

The Space Planning services of i.d.o. draw on a comprehensive understanding of the connections that link an organization’s strategic objectives with the core elements of people, process and place. User-centered by design, the process is optimized by teams that thrive on diversified resources and that demonstrate leadership in organizational, behavioral and environmental design factors.

We have worked with many of our state’s fastest growing and most innovative organizations. We synthesize elemental design principles with data gathering, analysis and a research-driven understanding of the physical, cognitive, social and cultural issues that underlie organizational success — revealing a comprehensive picture of how people interact with their environments.

Meeting individual needs, we formulate in-context facilities strategies that promote productivity, communication and community, while also increasing operational efficiencies of businesses, health care facilities and educational environments.

Move Management

i.d.o. manages the migration to and occupancy of a newly constructed or renovated facility. We are experts in minimizing the impact of lost productivity; complying with private, local, state and federal regulatory requirements; and protecting public health, safety and welfare. We manage all details of the move, coordinating with contractors, building owners and furniture dealers, so you don’t have to.

As with other services, we apply a comprehensive understanding of the connections between an organization’s strategic objectives and the core elements of people, process and place. We eliminate logistical difficulties during the move itself and put everything in place to allow operations to resume as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Giving life to working environments that work — this is the mark of everything that we do at i.d.o.

Sustainable Design

Building an environmentally sustainable future takes vision and experience. At i.d.o. incorporated, we have both. Our award-winning, sustainable corporate office in downtown Indianapolis — the city’s first LEED-certified building and the state’s fifth — and having LEED® Accredited Professionals on staff testifies to our commitment to environmentally conscious interiors.

While other firms are still in a learning curve, we are perfecting our design skills to serve clients increasingly aware of the financial, social and environmental benefits of sustainable buildings.

Sustainable design does more than reduce environmental impact. It involves a holistic rethinking of design to produce interiors that enhance human well-being and the future of our planet.

As responsible corporate and global citizens, i.d.o. Incorporated pledges to carry out this mission through pursuing new solutions, sharing knowledge and creating ideas and interiors that honor the broader goals of society.
